Built over 100 years ago, TAKEYA Tenmangu is a fully licensed, fully renovated, traditional Japanese machiya located just 3 minutes walk from one of the most famous temples in Kyoto-Kitano Tenmangu Shrine.

Kamishichiken, the oldest Geisha district in Kyoto, is just 2 minutes walk away, and has a beautiful pedestrian walkway where you can see real Geishas walking to their appointments.

Clean and spacious! A group of 5 of us recently stayed here. The unit was easy to find and check in. The property was very clean with spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there is a living room area. Laundry is also available in the unit. The location is close to a 7-11, a Lawson, a coffee shop, and a few restaurants.
