Everything was awesome. The lady was super supportive when I needed to check in early and check out early and left my luggage with her. Room was clean. It's small, but I find it spacious enough for a solo traveler unless you have too much luggage. The shared area has everything you may need - iron, hair dryer, body mirror, scale (if you need to weigh your luggage), kitchen, fridge. I even found plastic bags prepared. I guess it's for guests to use cos' you definitely need to bring your own bags for trash in Japan. Well, literally, the place has everything I can think of. Good location with bus/trains to airport, downtown, and areas I visited during my stay. Will return if I take another solo trip to Kyoto.

Everything was perfect! The hostess was really nice and friendly. Even though we talked by Google Translate most of the time, she was very patient and polite. Also, you definitely won’t find any other hotel with this price and comfort. It’s so much better than my previous experience at another Kyoto 3 star hotel. Will definitely stay again in the future!!!

The owner is incredible! I lost my passport at a shrine, she was able to get in touch with the police and have it returned to me. The rooms are very clean and nice, and the hotel is a few minutes walk to a train station.

Great place to stay near Arashiyama. Walkable distance to JR Uzumasa station and some Randen station I forgot the name. The hotel is overall very clean with all required facilities. Given the price, it was a no brainer. The lady was really nice and kind and helped with every requirement, despite not understanding English.

Absolute class act. One of the best hotels I have stayed at, especially for the price point. Room came with a bidet and an in-suite shower. Absolute godsend for my needs and was close to a convenience store, laundromat, and other businesses. Train station was less than a 5 minute walk. Amenities were perfect and covered every possible need. Safe to say this is the best hotel in Kyoto.

客室は清潔で、スタッフの方は大変親切でした。アメニティとしてボディーソープとリンスインシャンプー、歯ブラシを頂けました。エアコンは部屋で温度調節可能です。隣に一部屋あるだけですのでとても静かでした。小さいけどユニットバスにお湯を溜めて、朝の冷えた体を温めることが出来ました。ベッドの寝心地も良かったです。冬の京都は冷えますので寒がりの人は暖かいパジャマの持参をおすすめします。

Nice room

It was a comfortable room, with all the needed equipment. Private shower and toilets. They have a washing machine but no dryer so take it into account if you are staying only one night like me. Staff was nice too.

Einfach herzlich und eine gute Seele, die Gastgeberin. Hat mir sogar die Wäsche ordentlich zusammengelegt als ich abends zurück kam, nachdem morgens noch nicht alles trocken war. Weit weg vom Touristenrummel. Immer wieder meine erste Wahl.
