Located in the southern part of Bonaire, this beach is the go-to spot for kitesurfers, and for good reason. The consistently offshore wind that blows here virtually year-round creates ideal conditions for experienced riders. Because the wind is always blowing offshore, Atlantis is considered a challenging spot, and beginners are strongly advised to take lessons with one of the local kite schools first. Even if you are not into kitesurfing, the beach is well worth a visit: sit back and watch the spectacle of colorful kites soaring above the turquoise water while you relax on the shore. Getting Around:

Bonaire and especially the hotspots like Washington Slagbaai National Park, the remote pristine beaches, and the kitesurf and windsurf locations, are best enjoyed with a rental car, as our lovely Caribbean island has so much more to offer beyond the immediate surroundings of Belmar Oceanfront Apartment 15. With your own car you can explore remote snorkel spots, dive sites and local restaurants at your own pace. We strongly recommend renting a car so you can get everywhere easily. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for nature areas like the park, a pickup truck or SUV is advisable. The park roads are unpaved and sometimes rough, making a regular car less suitable. There is no public transport on Bonaire and taxis are limited, especially on busy days when a cruise ship is in port.

Check-in to Belmar Oceanfront Apartment 15 is from 3:00 PM and check-out is until 10:00 AM. Early arrival or late departure may be possible on request, depending on other reservations.
