This was my first trip to Jamaica and I was very excited. I booked a specific room with this host.Upon arriving and speaking to the security guard I came to realize there was no pool at this property which was a must have for me as thats what I had selected on my search. I returned to the unit and I notice that the unit I was in was not the unit I had booked thru the app. I had booked a 2 bedroom 2 and half bathroom unit with a pool and I was at a 2 bedroom 1 washroom no pool unit. I immediately contacted the host and she came to the unit. She told me there was a mistake with the address and the unit and the unit I had booked had already been booked by another group, mind you i booked well in advance (feb) because I knew it was carnival and everywhere would be booked. The host gave me a option to go to a smaller unit which obviously was of no use to me then she offered me access to a pool 5 mins away which also was inconvenient. This back and forth went on for 2 day as I was trying to solve the issue asap after all im here on vacation and didnt need the extra headache. The next day the host returned to the unit with another person. And I was asked if im going to leave the unit so she could book it to someone else. All said and done a agent at VRBO agreed to give me back the service fee which was not as much as I wanted back but it was still better than nothing. As for the unit itself the location was great! I was able to get to all the events i wanted to with ease
