We were satisfied with the check-in process and were really excited about staying in the water bungalow for our anniversary. Unfortunately, the experience did not fully live up to what we expected for the price. Our biggest disappointment was the lack of privacy. We booked what was advertised as a private water bungalow expecting a secluded and romantic anniversary getaway. Instead, boats were able to come within just a few feet of the bungalow. At one point, people on a boat were literally sitting right outside looking directly into our bungalow! That was extremely uncomfortable and definitely took away from the private, secluded experience we thought we were paying for. We also noticed that the floors were not very clean, and unfortunately the canoe had a very unpleasant odor that smelled like feces, which made us not want to use it. There were definitely aspects of the stay that we enjoyed, and check-in went smoothly, but for the price, we expected much better cleanliness and, most importantly, actual privacy and seclusion. For an anniversary getaway marketed as a private water bungalow experience, that was a major part of what we were paying for and unfortunately what was missing.
