Beautiful and fun hotel located in a lively location on the a gorgeous beach. It was rainy and stormy on both nights but still very comfortable and I enjoyed setting and the big waves! Clean, quiet room with a view over the water.

Condition: The room was spacious and exceptionally clean. The furniture has a beautiful "antique" aesthetic, yet it is clearly well-maintained and in excellent condition. • Comfort: The wood-framed beds were stunning and featured very comfortable mattresses. • Facilities: The air conditioning worked perfectly and was impressively quiet. The bathroom was spacious and functioned without any issues. • Staff: The team was polite, professional, and helpful throughout our stay.

Room downgraded due to “ repairs” was a major disappointment. Still waiting for reimbursement of room charge difference. Room was always cool and damp. Not sure if we would stay there the next trip back to the island.

It was good. But 27 dollars a day for amenity fees is a little excessive. Covers things like coffee pods for the room. We got 2 pods for a week.

I will start by saying the grounds are beautiful, very well kept and lush. We loved everything about the outside spaces. The Sand Bar was great and a nice touch. However, our room was in desperate need of bathroom renovations and overall updating/painting in the main room. The air conditioning unit above the bed rattled loudly throughout the night. We will be back but will choose a different room. Our unit to avoid was Rm 316 in the Hawaii building. Thank goodness we were only in it one night. When my husband talked to front desk in our way out, the staff member was dismissive and didn’t seem interested at all.

Our room overlooked the beach and ocean so the view was incredible. It was centrally located and liked the Coconut marketplace across the street. The negative was that the remote didn’t control the TV so we couldn’t watch it. They didn’t resolve it over the 4 nights we were there.

Older outdated property- kinda reminds me of older quality inn… wonderful Location and landscaping but prob wouldn’t return! Roaches in our Toaster and we had to buy pillows for the bed. bar was out of most of the things we drank and made no attempt to send anyone to the store so we were about disappointed as no other options on the property.. few super casual carryout food places within walking distance but nothing great. We did find fine dining near by Thankfully! Also we had someone following us around the property which we did report and maybe crime is now up a bit on Kauai? Seems the locals have not a lot of options for work and the Kapa’a area is financially struggling… if we ever return we would stay on North Shore instead.

I was surprised that the front desk called me after I'd fall asleep at 9:50 to come down to swipe my card for $20. It seemed a little bit strange why I still don't know and I couldn't get back to sleep

Our seventh stay here over the past thirty years. Well managed, welcoming and one of our favorite properties anywhere. The gardens are lush and meticulously maintained, the beachfront location is a real plus and shopping/events, etc. are close by. Some fifty years old, the property could probably use some renovations, but regardless, is still an exceptional place and highly recommended.

Decent place a bit rustic. Nice gardens. Older buildings seem like apartments. No elevators. Decent pool and good location on the beach in a good area. The room was ok however the cleaning service is only once for a 5 night stay. Totally 3 star.
