Bargain stay in an older property

Bit of a mix up at check in. Our rooms were on the 2nd floor. Hotel is older, so no elevator, and WiFi was very spotty and sometimes no WiFi unless you went to the lobby. Rooms had kitchenette with dishes and utensils, and fans (no A/C) and were clean. Beds were comfortable. Night noise level was acceptable. Free parking. Nice small pool.

The location is nice. The staff is very friendly. It’s an older hotel but it met our needs. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. No a/c, but they do supply a standing fan and ceiling fan, which was enough for us to sleep comfortably

A hidden gem in an old style Hawaiian hotel by Hilo Bay. The room was impeccable in cleanliness, amenities and comfort. Beautiful surroundings on Banyan Drive with so much outdoor activity at your doorstep.

Old Building, Comfy Bed

Out of my 5 day trip I stayed 2 nights in Hilo so I could be close to Volcano National Park and I would not stay here again in the future. Although the staff was very friendly and helpful, but you can hear people talking outside and in other rooms late at night. The rooms also have no A/C and the Wifi is horrible. I couldn't even cast shows on the TV from my phone. That being said, the bed itself was comfortable so at least there's that. Parking was easy to find as well, but I would not recommend this hotel to solo travelers.
