I stayed here for a night and it was an amazing experience! I had a room with a private outdoor open-air bath which runs 24/7. With the stay I also had dinner and breakfast. The staff were very courteous, spoke very good english, and even gave us a tour of their amenities & facilities. The dinner tasted great, however, it took extraordinarily long. What could've been a one hour kaiseki meal turned into two hours, with probably one hour of waiting most likely due to the large number of people they needed to serve. The breakfast was quick and easy though. Beyond this, the staff are very polite and I would definitely recommend and come back here again!

The exterior of the Ryokan was under construction and was completely covered in scaffolding. When checking in there was construction noise which really disrupted the pleasantness of staying here. I was not informed of the construction. One of the onsens was also closed! The Ryokan is nice but the construction and closures really affected my enjoyment of my stay

This was my least favorite hotel of our stay in Japan. The property is under renovation, however, it still felt very dated and smelled a little off. Also, a very weird check in experience. Both breakfast and dinner were great though!

Excellent location and views. Property was under construction which was unfortunate as that was a big draw to staying at the ryokan. There was a miscommunication or misunderstanding that resulted in an approximately $25 late check out time after we removed our bags from the room 30 minutes after the apparent check out time which after a only a one night stay left a bad last impression.
