This was an amazing ryokan. The food was very good, and the private onsen was incredibly relaxing. The hosts were nice and we had a great stay. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a more intimate experience than the traditional big public onsens.
Beautiful hotel with spacious room and super friendly hosts.
Only jarring note was leaving your shoes in a cupboard in reception area and choosing slip on sandals that other people had worn before and obviously not had sanitised.
Private onsen which was changed daily and lovely.
Nestled in a serene forest setting, this boutique size hotel was absolutely amazing. We felt like we took a step back in time in the Japanese style. Our suite had its own hot spring on the patio and we couldn't have enjoyed this place more. The hotel was spotlessly clean and quiet. It was the perfect place to decompress after a few days in Tokyo.
This place was amazing.
The room was big and we had a beautiful view on the back forest. We had two choices of Onsen (outside and inside) and both were very clean, comfortable and beautiful. The staff went above and beyond for us. Because there was not of other guest, we were able to have one side of the Onsen for us instead of being separated man and woman.
The night we had food at the ryoko was wonderful and te food was delicious. Our stay there truly was amazing and I would go back any time.
Really lovely place with very hospitable and attentive hosts. Very nice Ryokan room and we got free upgrade to a room with personal onsan. Property has public onsan but men section was under service. Host offered timed use of ladies public onsan for privacy but as had one in room we declined. The property is a good 10min uphill walk from bus stop. So you may need to consider getting a taxi, or contacting host. On leaving we asked for a taxis but host kindly arranged for one of the staff to drop us to bus stop. Would highly recommend for traditional Japanese experience.
A faire absolument.
