The staff in the reception were very welcoming and friendly. The waiters and dining staff as a whole made our experience even better. They were friendly and respectful very attentive. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet there a lot. The food there was actually our favorite in the entire city. The cleaning staff for the rooms were great and the bell boys were also very nice and respectful. I would definitely stay there again and would encourage everyone to do the same.

We enjoyed our stay. It is an order hotel, which is common in this town. We have stayed in many of the hotels in Guanajuato and this is one of the older ones. But its rustic charm did not deter us from having a wonderful time ps—There’s no elevator from the ground floor to the first floor.

Location and staff were great. My only complaint/concern was the light timers seemed a little off. I missed a couple of steps that could be trip hazards due poor lighting with timer motion delays. Other than that, staff was great. Location was convenient. Our room was located directly under a terrace so it was really noisy. I requested to be moved and the staff immediately resolved the issue for us. We would stay here again in the future.
Views from the terrace and landscaping around the hotel were 10/10 ⭐️.

There were no English-speaking staff at the front desk — which is unacceptable for a hotel. The staff were also rude and culturally insensitive. When I checked in, I submitted my Korean ID card. The lady at the counter laughed and said, “Front Chinese letter, back English. Funny.” That was extremely disrespectful. She should be aware that not all Asian languages are Chinese. I corrected her by saying, “It’s Korean,” but she never apologized. The noise level was also terrible. I understand it’s an old building, and I can tolerate some noise, but I was woken up several times during the night and early morning by loud guests. When I called the front desk to report it, the staff couldn’t speak English at all — and instead of handling it professionally, he came to my door and knocked it, waking me up again. Later, a friend left a gift for me at the front desk. When I went to pick it up, the lady there didn’t even try to look for it and just said, “No gifts.” After I explained several times, she finally found it but then asked to take a photo of my face with her phone “for report.” I have never experienced anything like that in any hotel. I refused, of course. Overall, this stay was very unpleasant. The staff’s behavior, communication issues, and constant noise made it one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had.

Very nice hotel in beautiful Guanajuato

The staff were very helpful during check-in and check-out - storing my luggage and arranging a cab. The breakfast was delicious. My only concern was the stairs in the room - rushing to get downstairs for check out, I slipped on the bottom stair in the room and fell, bruising my arm.

Everything about this hotel was amazing. The staff, the location, the view! I felt like the location was pretty central to all the must see spots. They are accommodating in helping you find tours and the made to order breakfast was delicious! I would highly recommend paying extra for it. The only downfall is all the stairs. You do have to cline up to the main floor 2 flights of stairs and if you have any physical issues request a room on the same floor as the elevator. All the staff was amazing. Thank you all for a wonderful stay! We will be back!
