It was great to stay in the park! We saw a couple deer and elk and loved the elksong in the mornings! Was quiet and nice to have a restaurant nearby.

The Lodge is inside the park. You can take the Blue Bus to the sites or you can drive. The buildings were built in the late 50's, early 60's. Therefore, the rooms are not modern. There is a refrigerator but no microwave which would have been nice. The buildings are single story and you can park right in front of your room.
We loved how convenient this place is in the Grand Canyon. We saw elk around the property. There was live music at the dining hall. Food was decent but nothing special. Would stay here again for the convenience.
Maggie at the front desk of Yavapai Lodge was outstanding. We were having all kinds of problems with our booking company. She stayed calm, persistent and eventually she made it all work out! I so appreciated her effort for 11 excited hikers on a epic journey.
The Yavapai Lodge was great for our family visiting the Grand Canyon. The location was great, the room was clean and the staff were very helpful. We did not eat breakfast there so I cannot comment on that. Overall, the lodge met our needs and provide a great stay in a great location.

The public bathroom in the dining area was AWEFUL! It smelled like sewer and there was rarely any toilet paper in there. Trash was everywhere.
Our room was clean but the bathroom was moldy and the lights didn’t not work. We had to shower with the door open just to see
The lodge is very central to all of the park amenities. It is clean, comfortable and serves as a good base for Grand Canyon activities. The restaurant serves decent food but the wait can be long when it is busy

One of the room we book, the door was very tight and difficult to close. One of the key locks only worked a few time. I went get it fixed but it also broke down. This is room number 7332.
For the price, the room was really not good:
worn out carpet, appeared filthy.
the mattress was really uncomfortable.
no lights on the property.
bathroom door frame was rotten.
On a positive note, people at the front desk are really nice and friendly.
Great customer service, knowledgeable and friendly. Good size room. Conveniently located and priced well. The food was good quality “cafeteria” food at a reasonable price for a national park.
Things to work on:
The front desk didn’t tell me/remind me? About the FREE breakfast that this app says I was suppose to get.
I understand these are older rooms and it’s the end of the season but the carpet in our room needed to either be replaced or shampooed at the bare minimum. The sheets didn’t stay on the new mattress (deep pocket) and the kurieg coffee maker needs to be replaced also. We were at the end of the building and the outside light didn’t work.
We’re easy to please and I would go back considering the price and how convenient it was staying inside the park.
Clean Room, Complementary Breakfast would have been a nice feture.

This hotel was built in the 50s and hasn’t been touched since. The rooms are old and look worn and dirty. The sink is tiny with zero counter space. The bathroom floor is old, dirty tile and the carpet is gross (stained and dirty). I would book elsewhere… for the price. We only stayed one night and would not book there again.
