For it being mostly empty, having people directly above you not really ideal when the walls are paper thin. We were woken up by what sounded like a bowling ball being dropped on the floor above us 2 days and the person‘s cell phone vibrating at 11 o’clock at night. Can’t give a review of the room because we were moved across the street to the Grand Hotel and Suites due to a plumbing problem in The Grand Hotel. We were very disappointed since it was our 55th anniversary and were looking forward to a stay there. However, since the hotel was empty the hotel had also closed the main dining room but when the manager heard it was our anniversary he opened it just for us. The staff was very polite and pleasant to deal with. The rooms at The Grand Hotel and Suites were very clean and the staff was great. Just not at beautiful as The Grand Hotel.

I booked this stay based on the hotel amenities and the accommodations, i prepaid for the stay, filled out all of the required documents as asked. I was two or three text messages a day prior to my arrival but when i arrived i was told there would not ba any rooms due to renovations and the 20% discount at their steakhouse was a joke because it too was closed. I was told my reservation was moved to the okd Holiday Inn and those accommodations were bad. Noisy, cold and uncomfortable. I was told that i should have received a text explaining the situation. Never got a text or a phone call, you know the old fashion way of communicating.

This is fantastic hotel for access to the Grand Canyon with good clean rooms . Building work was going on in the hotel but did not affect your our stay . The air conditioning was very noisy at night keeping us awake
