Parking is located offsite and a shuttle provides transportation from the parking lot to the property. In order to reach the offsite parking lot please follow the below instructions. Take the Trans Canada Highway heading west towards Field and Golden, BC. The turnoff to Emerald Lake Lodge is located 1 kilometer west of Field, BC. Follow the road for 8 kilometers until a sign that says 'Overnight Guest Parking.' Turn left into the parking lot. In the parking lot is a cabin. Use the telephone in the cabin to call the front desk. A shuttle will be sent to pick up guests.

Emerald Lake is a beautiful location in Yoho National Park in British Columbia. Such a jewel in Canada ! The staff at the lodge were friendly and pleasant. I appreciated their relaxed attitude and the food at the restaurant was very good. We hiked around Emerald Lake and it was absolutely beautiful. The snow was quite deep, but the views of the lake were stunning and it was so quiet and peaceful.

Start with the good: setting was spectacular. Staff was incredible The bad: had to send the soup back- wasn’t even warm the decor in the room was worse than a super 8 motel. Paint peeling, chunks of grout missing, holes in the wall, horrible carpet, paint, decor. Provided us with hours of laughs. Very sad. The worst was the area rug in the main lodge that was frayed so badly my 84 yo mother caught her boot and narrowly missed the cheap and ugly table. Worse, if she had fallen the other way it would have landed her in the fire place. This frayed rug was not a new thing - I have photos of the foot or more stretch of damage. Thanks goodness for the beauty outside so we didn’t have to be inside.

Beautiful location but the rooms are dated and could use a makeover. Overall the staff was very friendly. However we booked at the restaurant for my 50th and the service was terrible for such an nice restaurant. Unfortunately bad service really changes the over all experience.

The rooms are in need of an updating and major repair. The walls need filling and painting. Window seals are broken so interferes with the lake view. Over all the units are tired, original fixtures from 30+ years ago. Also more attention to detail with cleaning dust on baseboards light fixtures etc.

This resort is top notch. The breakfast, not included, was a buffet that had lots of selection and was decicious! Staff at this resort are very friendly and helpful and comment on the hotel being a great employer. They were decorating for Christmas and us was extra beautiful! Highly recommend

Room was cute & close to lake, cozy comfy bed & fireplace (wood wasn't restocked but we found some outside). Bathroom could be updated, tub had a hair on it, vent coming off ceiling, but toiletries were lovely. Robes were supplied but no slippers to walk to hot tub. Hot tub & sauna were lovely across from the lake. Shuttle service was great, they were very comical and check in was easy. Great stay, will watch for deals in off season again!
