We were a family of 4. Had a great view of Surfers Beach from our room. 2 minute walk to the light rail. Staff were amazing. Room was very spacious. Will definitely stay here again.

The room itself was nice, but I expected a walk-in shower as advertised. The towels had some stains on them, which made us question the overall cleanliness. We went down for the buffet breakfast, and at over $80 for two people, it felt overpriced considering we only had one plate each. The tables and cutlery also weren’t very clean. We ordered room service for dinner, but my drink was forgotten, and I had to call an hour later to remind them. Breakfast service was also disappointing — we waited about an hour and twenty minutes on the first morning, only to get a call saying there were no eggs available and to order something else. I’m not sure if we were charged extra for the change. The room wasn’t as soundproof as we’d hoped either. We could hear the shower running in the rooms above and next door, as well as the banging from housekeeping while they were cleaning. Overall, it was an okay stay, but the service and cleanliness didn’t meet expectations for the price.

Wonderful stay at the Novotel. Staff were friendly, buffet breakfast was awesome, pool was nice and it was in a great location. Parking got a bit crowded on Saturday evening and difficult to find a park in the surfers mall car park, frustrating when you’ve paid $25 per day and had to drive around for 30+ minutes to find a park to get up to your room. Overall, it was an excellent experience and I will be staying at the Novotel again.

I booked a 3 stay in a executive room ocean view to celebrate my wife’s 30th and our anniversary.. I clearly mentioned to them over phone call about this.. I also emailed the hotel and Harvey hill reservation agent assured me to look into this.. I expected small amenity as a surprise for my wife.. but nothing was arranged or organised.. though I was willing to pay for it.. really disappointed about the arrangement .. room was not even cleaned properly.. just the bed was made.. dirty cups and stuffs were left behind upon cleaning.. tea bags and toiletries not topped up.. staffs were friendly and locations is just WOW.. but overall I enjoyed my stay.. good and lively environment.. plenty of options around.. breakfast and dinner options available .. but definitely worth the visit.. Gold Coast you have my heart..

The ocean view is nice. The location is extremely convenient, and the room was clean and good enough as a simple place to stay. However, the facility is quite old. The windows didn’t close properly, so I could hear music from outside all night long. I booked two rooms, and both had the same issue. Since there are many clubs nearby, it’s better to know that in advance.

Stayed 2 nights and probably one of the most disorganised hotel I’ve come across. Phone didn’t work to call reception the first night to request a blanket. Was told they would come fix the phone the next day which was perfectly fine. Second day/night house keeping had been and they took all our towels and never replaced them with fresh ones so we had nothing for the second night, tried calling reception again and phone still didn’t work. So my poor daughter who just had a shower had no towel, they also took our second key card which is very concerning. Went to reception to request more towels and explain the key card situation and not even an apology just okay well kinda not our problem situation…. Overall location is good for Surfers, but they really need to pick up their act. Don’t recommend
