My family of three wanted to book a room at the Marguerite Hotel. Before booking a room with one king-size bed and one sofa online for three people, I called the hotel to ask if the sofa could accommodate one person for sleeping, and they confirmed that it could. However, today, January 24, 2026, after checking in and going to the room, I found the sofa was too small to sleep on. I went down to the reception desk to ask the staff to change rooms, but they refused. I don't understand why they said the room could accommodate three people when it clearly only fits two! I am truly disappointed with the irresponsibility and unprofessionalism of this hotel.

When we checked in and got our room key, and headed to our room. we immediately noticed our room’s door was cracked open and had a swing bar handle between the door to hold it open. I informed the front desk and they told me it was fine and how cleaning staff may I have left it on accident and gave a new set of keys. But I asked for a new room just for safety concern. My boyfriend then told me the bathroom smelled like cigarettes. My bf then came down and we got a new room.

Definitely outdated, when we checked in there was hair on the mattress and a big yellow stain. They gave me an extra blanket to change but never offered to change the sheets. Paint was peeling, mold in shower and on shower head. Bed wasn’t too comfortable. But decent for the price you pay.
