When I hadn’t received check-in instructions, it was after our scheduled check-in, & I was only 2 minutes away, I messaged the host for check-in instructions. He called soon after to tell me that there were electrical problems & that he was cancelling, but he assured me that if I could wait to enter tomorrow morning that the wiring would be repaired. I chose not to wait because I remembered there was one negative review that stated he’d done the same to them due to electrical problems. Thankfully VRBO was wonderful & offered to reimburse us for the unplanned hotel stay & they refunded our rental money immediately.
