From here, you can reach—on foot, by bicycle (Mobyke service), or by bus (nos. 12, 6, C1) all of Florence’s most famous attractions: Piazza del Duomo with Brunelleschi’s dome, 1,600 meters away; Piazza San Marco with the San Marco Museum and Michelangelo’s David, 1,200 meters away; Piazza San Lorenzo with the Medici Chapels, 1,200 meters away; Piazza Santissima Annunziata with the Museo degli Innocenti, 1,300 meters away. The Fortezza da Basso and the Central Station, both 1,300 meters away, can be reached on foot, by bicycle, or by bus.
In addition, just 100 meters from the house is the famous historic garden known as the “Giardino dell’Orticultura,” home to the largest 19th-century greenhouse in Italy. Just above the “Orti del Parnaso,” from which you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the city, is an excellent vantage point for watching the “Fochi di San Giovanni”—a spectacular fireworks display held every year on June 24 to celebrate the city’s patron saint’s feast day.

The neighborhood has everything you need: a large supermarket just 20 meters from the house (Esselunga), bars, pastry shops, bakeries, butcher shops, pharmacies, and various other types of stores. The evenings are also very lively, with restaurants offering traditional Florentine cuisine (Alfredo and Perseus), a German restaurant (Braumeister), pubs, clubs, and two movie theaters (Principe and Stensen).
In front of the house, there are bus stops and bike-sharing stations; a tram stop is 1,600 meters away. This T1 line connects to the central station and to the T2 line, which leads to A. Vespucci Airport.
