Good location for exploring Edinburgh. Lots of nice restaurants nearby. Apartment was very nice. Only complaint was the bed which wasn't very comfortable. Mattress could use replacing.

Apartment was great for the most part (kitchen, bathroom, plenty of space, comfortable beds and bedding, functional internet/tv) and location in New Town was awesome. But I didn’t like that they didn’t tell me until after I made a nonrefundable booking that there was no elevator and that we’d have to hike to the 4th floor with our 18 month old, my 67 year old mother and all of our luggage, groceries. Also, the automatically closing doors to every room within the apartment were very annoying (made it almost impossible to do a load of laundry or communicate with people in any other room — they need to provide door stops), as was hitting our heads on the very low angled ceiling/shower. Like the rest of the UK, there are no outlets in the bathroom, so ladies need a space to get ready elsewhere and they only had a mirror in one of the bedrooms.

Central but rather crap

Windows are thin. Was woken up every night of our stay by passers by at all hours of the night. Beds were uncomfortable. Luggage is stored off site at their office, which is inconvenient. But the worst was when after a day out, my son used the toilet & clogged it. There was no plunger in the apartment, no on site alternate toilet to use and no one on site to deal with the issue for over an hour. It being a Sunday night after 5, no shops nearby were open. So I had to walk to the Christmas market to use their public toilets. When the repair man finally came, he said, “sorry it took so long! We have 275 apartments all over the city. I came as quickly as I could.” It was fixed quickly after that, but it is not his fault that the company that employs him has a crap business model. But pay attention when you book.

A clean, comfortable, well equipped apartment in new town Edinburgh. Walkable to all the city has to offer. Only downside was no parking in the area.

Even though the apartment was clean and very nicely laid out, the clothes dryer did not work, and I was left with soaking wet clothes as I was leaving. The management company only said that I must have overloaded the dryer, but this is absolutely not true, as it was only a few items and they were very wet. I used the dryer properly and it does not work, just be warned when you stay there that this is an issue.

Good location and base to explore the city

The apartment was very minimalist and didn’t seem to have the cosy feel depicted in the photos. The place was very clean and tidy but pretty sparse. Apart from the lack of homeliness, what you see is what you get, nothing more. I would have expected, for the price, to maybe have a small milk in the fridge or a little something ‘extra’. Being on the ground floor was also very noisy. We could hear people coming in and out of the building throughout the night and it sounded like they were not only in the apartment but in the bedroom. If you’re looking for a base to just sleep in this is perfect, if you’re looking for more of a home from home, then I don’t feel this is quite that.
