It is a wonderful place with great service, great food and drinks and its own perfect little beach. It was the best hospitality I have ever received on a beach/tropical vacation. It will be our go-to for years to come.

Great staff, beach is awesome and private. Safe. Child and dog friendly , cozy bed. Great view from 4th floor balcony. Breakfast had many choices. Dinner and lunch great menu. I planned on four days and stayed 8 Options for food across street were good. Short ride to town. I’d stay here again and will.

I do not regret booking my stay at this hotel! It was beautiful, the staff was amazing, very polite and caring , they really know how to take care of their guests. Breakfast was so delicious and they had so many options! Their private beach access was perfect! As well and the bar outside, especially the staff member out there named Darwin, he was a very kind and respectful man.This place is definitely a 10/10 recommendation!

We've vacationed at Playa Azul over a dozen times over the years and we absolutely love staying there! This was our second visit this year. The beach area and snorkeling are first rate! Plenty of shaded seating and the tiki bar is right there (Great Drinks & the Beer is COLD). The menu items are also first rate and you can't beat the breakfast bar! Great service, fantastic coffee, and plates made to order by the chef. Perhaps the main reason we keep going back is the wonderful staff! They are so friendly, accommodating, and dedicated to making your vacation fun and relaxing! On this trip, we took my daughter's family with us that included two teenage granddaughters. They had an absolute blast, jet skiing, snorkeling, and hanging out by the pool. The Hotel wifi worked great so they could post photos to their friends. We highly recommend vacationing at Playa Azul to anybody! We can't wait to go back next year!

This is an older hotel, but it had everything we needed. The included breakfast is amazing with lots of variety. The property is right on the beach with beautiful views. The toiletries smelled really good. The staff was very friendly. They also gave us a welcome drink upon arrival. You can book snorkel and dive trips on site. The only negatives were that the hotel is a little dated and the water pressure in the shower is low. If you stay here, note that the water in the shower takes a while to get hot. Overall, we had a great time and would stay here again. The price is right for what you get.

Tropical elegance beachfront resort! We loved staying at Playa Azul Cozumel. From the excellent, friendly staff and the amazing large room with a jacuzzi to the beautiful beach and delicious food from both restaurants on the resort, we had the best romantic vacation! We will definitely come back! The resort was very quite, mostly couples and families. They had two open air restaurants. One was smaller and served the best hot breakfast (omelets prepared for you, and a hot buffet with mexican and american breakfast offerings), the breakfast buffet was included for us. They also served lunch and dinner too. The large open air restaurant had bands where you could dance and they had the best lime soup (myan recipe). The pool was just the right size and there was a children's pool too with a small playground. Our room was on the first floor, so we had easy access to the pool and beach. I loved the natural tropical surroundings of the resort. The beach was on the small side, but the resort had plenty of sand, palm umbrellas, and beach lounge chairs. The beach was the perfect place to watch an amazing sunset.
