Stayed here with my family for 3 days. The quality of the apartment is good and has everything you possibly might need during your stay. However, a few things: 1. Washroom door is so squeaky, it probably can be heard from another floor. 2. At night, extremely loud because of the pipes that are on the ceiling throughout the whole apartment - so loud that it’s absolutely impossible to sleep. 3. Fridge door was broken. As much as the location was good, close to different parkings, and the apartment overall was nice, will not be staying again, solely because of the bad impression based on the above mentioned points.

I love the location, self-check-in, and full kitchens, but there is zero insulation between rooms, so if you happen to have neighbors, it is very loud.

We like the place it was very clean and spacious very convenient in the sense on the location for people who are visiting. The only comment I have is regarding the bed and the pillows…They mattress was not super comfortable and the pillows smelled like sweat.

This place was great. Super close to the Blue L Line to/from Ohare was a snap. Right on the edge of the Loop so very walkable and was so safe feeling.

Location was great for easily jumping onto the blue line at Clinton. Grocery stores are about a 15 minute walk away. Great spot for folks catching a train at Union Station and the in unit laundry was a nice touch. Bed linens were a little scratchy. Even with that, would definitely stay here again.

The unit itself was cute and clean but the lack of on-site staff and lack of ability for them to take care of any actual physical issues became a big problem for me. The all virtual model is convenient if you have courteous neighbors, but I did not unfortunately, and the Sonder staff was incapable of doing anything to resolve the issue despite their own house rules.

The property was great, physically, but I was blindsided by the lack of a physical interface with a concierge or manager. Everything had to be done by smartphone to register and even to gain access to the building, in a slightly dicey neighborhood. What if I wasn’t smart phone literate? We would have been screwed.

HORRIBLE

Room was disgusting, TV didn’t work, door lock didn’t work. Pictures on the website are VERY different than the actual property. The water damage ABOVE the bed was a health hazard. Ended up not even staying and ending our trip early. Very disappointed in this property and very upset that a lot of our money was wasted. Tried calling the number and the guy who picked up seemed like he didn’t care at all.

Location is decent, cleanliness felt below average. Walls are PAPER thin, you will hear your neighbors clearly. We thankfully had respectful neighbors but could hear their conversations clearly. Bed was very creaky, mattress felt lumpy, sheets are thin and not very breathable. Decided upon return to Chicago we’ll book a standard hotel. You can find better stays in better areas of interest for the same price as we book at Sonder

A great apartment at a decent price.

We stayed at the Sonder Burnham Apartments for 6 nights. We liked the communication from Sonder regarding check in. We did know we had to set up the App before we left. We liked the ability to open the doors with your phone. The apartment was really clean. We had a studio apartment and it was really well appointed with appliances and homeware. We liked the cupboard in the lobby where you could pick up extra toilet rolls or coffee sachets etc. The only thing we would criticise is something other reviewers have said and that’s the fact the noise insulation isn’t very good. We could hear the people in the next door apartment talking really clearly. It wasn’t a big deal as they weren’t there for long but it was quite late. The walk to the nearest Metro station was easy and the apartments are right opposite Union Station as well. If we come back to Chicago we will definitely book here again.

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a property listed on Expedia. First I couldn’t get into the building to store our bags.. which they advertise you can do.. then the room I booked was over sold (I booked a king suit) got transferred to a room with a full bed. I had to wait on hold with customer service for over an hour to even get the PIN code to get in the room. The first code didn’t work and they had to reset it. So we had to wait another 5 minutes to get that code to reset. While we were trying to get into our room there was also another couple sitting in the hallway also having the same problem. That couple had been there for hours. Next once we finally opened the door to the room and found our full sized bed hardly big enough for two. We also found that our window, that’s connected to a fire exit was broken.. so the window was wide open, and anyone on the street below could have climbed right up… Marriot should be embarrassed to have there name associated to this property. While I was on the phone with customer service I was promised a full refund. I have not yet received. We rebooked to another hotel in city. I wouldn’t recommend this property to my worst enemy! I’m not sure if it was just my lucky day but it seemed many other people were having issues as well. Very disappointed!
