The location is great. The hotel itself needs a facelift. No thermostat. Our room had a 24” tv. Our door had a 1” gap at the bottom and light flooded our room from the hall lights. No internet available in our room. Couldn’t connect to the hotel WiFi.

The hotel definitely needs being taken of, the stairs’s paint is falling down, the wood, wallpapers, tubes, etc… everything is rusty and even though the looks are to be kept due to history, it shouldn’t mean the hotel gets to look so bad. The housekeeping service is not good, barely replace the bottles of water nor clean towels and paper toilet. The restaurant have not so good food for a high price, we got a hair on one of plates and got no apologies for it, just a change of the meal with poor quality.

I would definitely stay here again. It was a great location for what our plans were. We had access to all the different train lines as well as a Starbucks and food options all really close walking distance. The staff were friendly and helpful, and available at all hours. The bed was comfortable with comfortable bedding. The room was huge. One negative is the toilet was kind of not connected to the ground and would rock when you sat on it. There was also an unpleasant smell in the bathroom, which honestly was minor, and I just put it down to being a really old hotel. I knew the hotel was fully booked, so I didn’t ask if we could change rooms or mention anything as again- it wasn’t a major deal for us, but others might be more bothered. Overall, we had a great stay here and I would definitely stay here again.
