Had stayed here twice before and like it. But this time it was really poor. At check in we were advised that the king room we had booked thru Hotels.com two months earlier was not available and because we used a third party they don’t guarantee the room type! Huh! I have used Hotels.com all over the world with never a problem like this. They put us in a double queen room. This trip was for my wife’s birthday and now we don’t get the room we reserved?
It made our sleep very poor.
The next day we had been out for four hours in the morning and came back to find our room hadn’t been serviced. No problem. We were leaving it again and there were many cleaning people on our floor and I asked if they could clean the room and was told we would most likely have to wait for the evening shift to come in. I went to the front desk and was told we would have to wait. I made a very crude comment to the women as she was also the one who delighted in not giving us the proper room
We decided to cut our stay short by a day because of this.
I will credit the asst gen mgr who comped our second night. We hadn’t asked for this so it saved us money but we didn’t want to save money. We wanted the room we reserved and we asked it to be cleaned!
