Booked room that was supposed to have a fireplace (Deluxe King), room had a fake, electric (non heating) fireplace. Area rug (5'x9') was filthy, small table had about 30% of the finish chipped off. Lots of dirt in the areas around flooring transitions. Power went out in bathroom for no reason last morning, no light or plug. Left room at 10:30 AM first day and received no housekeeping, no cleaning, no fresh towels. Luggage carts are falling apart, had to fix the one we used as the screws were falling out and wheels kept jamming. Shower controls don't work very well and if you put it to hottest, temp is well above scalding temp (not safe for children). Thermostat for room is located in adjoining suite so we had no temp control.

The young woman working at the front desk was so kind and friendly. I loved that she remembered my name at check out. The room was clean and spacious and we liked having the full kitchen. The one thing we don’t like is the deep soaker tub. For us seniors it’s a challenge (and a bit dangerous) getting in and out for a showe. A walk in shower would be much better and accessible for everyone.

No the room wasn't neglected, in fact our room was PERFECT. It was exactly what I had in mind for our romantic getaway. However upon check out we were treated rudely and accused of smoking in the room and told it was a 250 fine. We did NOT smoke in the room, in fact each time my husband went on the balcony, because I made the room too hot, a silver creek lodge employee would be smoking under a large tree right in front of our balcony. I would smell the cigarette smoke when my husband would open the balcony door. We didn't cause the smoke smell, in fact we were not fined 250 and I got my deposit back, so what gives? Why ruin a great visit with false accusation to get more money from us? I won't go back and I would NOT recommend Silver Creek Lodge to anyone, unless you enjoy having your trip ruined with false accusations. I did not.

These accommodations are usually awesome! However the unit we were given was lack lustre. Mattresses were not very comfy, the tv lacked channels and the couch was old. Hopefully we get a better unit in the future…
