The Pocaterra is a decent hotel, especially for families with children. The water slide and pool were in constant use. But the hotel is starting to look “worn”. The things you look for-clean, comfy beds, clean sink and shower, plenty of towels, heating in the room- are all there. But the place needs a deep clean- walls washed, rooms painted, sink drains and plugs cleaned, carpets vacuumed, proper caulking around back-splashes and toilets, handrails scrubbed-the things that would make it look well cared for. The staff were friendly, very helpful and accommodating; the breakfasts were fine, and the chocolate chip cookies available in the lobby during check-in were very good. I would still recommend Pocaterra, as it is convenient and reasonably priced.

Viajamos en familia, en la habitacion mi hijo y yo dormimos en un sofa cama tamano queen que fue una real pesadilla, podiamos sentir los fierros de la estructura en nuestra espalda y se hacia un hoyo al centro que hacia que nos deslizaramos, era nuestra ultima parada de un viaje largo, estabamos cansados y no dormimos nada esa noche, tambien en la habitacion cada cierto rato se escuchaba un sonido horrible que podria haver sido alguna tuberia aunque no estoy segura, pero era como el somido de Chuwbaca de star wars. Salvo por estas dos observaciones lo demas estuvo muy bien.

This was hands down one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever had. The room was filthy — clearly hadn’t been dusted in ages, with stained walls, holes and hair in the sheets, and a gas fireplace that didn’t even work. The baseboards and towel rack were literally coming off the walls, and the bathtub didn’t drain, so I was forced to shower in standing water. It was disgusting. I felt grimy just staying there and couldn’t wait to leave the next morning. When I brought everything up at checkout, the front desk didn’t apologize or show any concern — just said, “we’ll get the tub unclogged.” That’s it. This place needs a complete overhaul and better management. Save yourself the disappointment (and the feeling of needing another shower after your shower) and stay somewhere else.
