No ice machine on property nor did the tiny fridge have a freezer for my ice packs. When I called to inquire where the ice machine was or if they had a freezer to put my ice packs over night I was told I could bring them to their other property and use their freezer and get ice from their ice machine. I don’t feel I am a demanding guest at all but, when you pay the prices being charged in that area you expect to have an elevator to the upper room locations and basic things like ice or a freezer in your refrigerator. It was an ok place and we slept ok also. But because travelers need a place to rest that meets their needs I think there is room for improvement. When I requested a room with as few steps as possible I received a reply that they had us on the second floor (full flight of stairs for my husband and I at 65+ years of age with bad knees and my husbands bad back had to drag our bags) because they wanted us to enjoy the views of the lake and mountains. Did they hear me? The property was not full by any means - I don’t think we ever saw anyone utilizing the lower rooms either. I am being generous with the stars I gave them.

The water in the shower took around 10 minutes to actually get luke warm, just annoying it took longer than usual. Hair on the carpet as well, not fully cleaned in my opinion

Although pricey, it was in the heart of Canmore and we could walk anywhere downtown. Lots of restaurants and shopping out your door, two minutes aqay.

Great stay in this reno'ed motel. Comfy bed, convenient parking, and great spot to explore Canmore on foot. A few friendly pieces of advice to make this an even better stay: wastepaper basket in bathroom, instructions for "smart tv" so that you can screencast, more coffee pods. Thanks for the great stay.

We came there with our dog and it was a great choice! Everything is close to this location and lots of places to walk around. Clean rooms and nicely decorated. I strongly recommend and will come back there in the future

Good other than the horroble check in experience

Our check in experience was not smooth at all. No one worked at this motel and the office was closed due to construction. When we called the number no one answered, we called many times. We couldn't check into our room without the code -- we never received the code/check in information via email 24hrs prior like we were supposed to. So disorganized and unsettling. The location and room was good

Great location but room needs some TLC

Excellent location in downtown. Really appreciated the Nespresso set up. The bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, the room was not very clean. The shower drain was extremely slow draining, the shower curtain appeared to be stained from the toilet, and the refrigerator wouldn’t get cold.

Unfortunately, the carpets in the room were wet during our entire stay. We alerted the front desk and they told us that this is a result of humidity and the concrete floors below the carpet. As a result, the room smelled musty and we couldn’t leave our stuff on the floor without getting damp.
