The most comfortable and softest bed Ive ever slept in! Very clean. Amenities were lacking! And very odd that we never saw another person. No staff nor other guests.

The man at the front desk (and his dog, Sub!) were very kind and helpful and the hotel itself was beautiful, extremely clean, and quiet. We were only there for one night but wish we could’ve stayed longer! We will definitely be staying again the next time we’re back in Birmingham.

What a lovely little boutique hotel, new to Birmingham! Was a wonderful stay, perfectly walkable to all the fun downtown restaurants and bars. The one thing that came by surprise was the fact that there was no elevator & our room was on the third floor. While not a huge deal, it would be worth noting in case others aren’t aware of that and are in need of that.

My welcome was fantastic! Great communication ahead of my stay and on the day of my arrival, excellent directions and advise on parking. I parked on the street within 200 feet from the entrance, easy walk. My room was on the 3rd floor - i liked going up the stairs, liked the eclectic decor of the lobby, colors of the stairs, the bannisters. The hotel is spotless, my room was sparkling clean, bedding, pillows - so luxuriously comfortable - very good quality linens. The coffee/tea/refrigerator are community-style - served on each floor kitchen station with nice selection of teas and coffee. Hotel is very quiet, feels private and secure. Within walking distance from multiple amazing restaurants and bars. Will definitely stay again!!! my only tiny comment is that it was a bit on cold side of comfortable (i do like my room warm, but it's just a personal preference). Again - i was looking for a differen sort of hotel - not a chain and The Painted Lady DEFINITELY fit the brief! Would recommend!

It was peaceful and quiet. They upgraded me to a king size bed for free and the room was pink, my favorite color. Also, my original room was on the 3rd floor, the new one was on thw 2nd which was a plus due to them only having stairs.
Keyless entry which was good since I was all over the place and didn't need to worry about a key.

This was the cutest hotel. It was the only affordable hotel during my stay for the Chris Brown concert. I slept so well in my room. The parking was convenient and the staff gave detailed instructions on how to check in. They kept in contact throughout the day and were very helpful after I expressed concerns about a late check in. I was able to check in around midnight with no issues. There is a flight of stairs to take (they make you aware immediately after booking). The room was so beautiful and the walk in shower was very easy to enter. I will be staying here again soon in the near future!

The parking area was safe right behind the building. The cleanliness was unmatched and the very helpful staff was amazing. The sheets, towels and shower were very clean. We will be returning again!

The Painted Lady is more of a boarding house than a hotel It does have cutely decorated rooms and a clean facility. The coffee and tea station was fine. We had to use our towels to block the very bright light streaming around the door from the hall into our room all night making it difficult to sleep. Parking is down the street 1/2 a block. Very stripped down tiny lobby. Not sure the price is commensurate to accommodations.

It is it used to be a brothel, so be prepared for the Staff to help you with your luggage up the staircase. Overall peace and quiet is what you will get at this hotel. There are several restaurants and cafés within walking distance from the Hotel. Highly recommended!
