The hotel had at least 2 bus loads of teenagers there. Made it impossible to utilize the “free breakfast.” There were dark black stains on the rug near bathroom sink. Bathtub had some old floor non-slip material, which was unsightly. Otherwise, things looked clean which is most important!

The hotel’s location is great, but the property itself could use some upgrades since it feels quite old. Our room was okay, but there was an unpleasant smell, like urine, which was really off . The breakfast was decent, but the staff could be more attentive with refilling items, especially when there are many guests. During our stay, there were a lot of college students, so quicker service would have been helpful. Overall, it was just an okay experience.

The Springhill Suites Gaithersburg is a nice hotel, with a friendly staff and a wonderful breakfast! I am concerned about the area's security. Gaithersburg has seen an increase in vehicle theft/damage over the past several months, and this hotel does not appear to have adequate security given that.
