"This little cabin was perfect for our family of 3 plus big dog. Both our son and those of friends who live nearby absolutely loved playing on the deck and in the several cleared lawns and our pup delighted in running the circuit path that connected to the main road. Beds were comfy; decor chic and simple. This was also one of the best - stocked short term rentals we’ve ever had in terms of both kitchen gear and basic ingredients. Our one qualm which is admittedly so minor is that the stylish SMEG refrigerator really was too small for many standard items you’d want for a week (gallon of milk for instance, being able to put a dozen eggs edge on so they’re more accessible, etc) and the door creates such a seal that given the handle placement, you sometimes felt like the whole thing was going to tip. But if fridge design is the literally only thing you feel like pointing out, it’s an indication of how lovely the rest is! Anne was responsive and we look forward to staying at Birch Creek House again."

"We stayed at Mella’s property for our extended family gathering. It was wonderfully private and relaxing. We loved being able to all fit at one table for meals, but we also ate on the back deck and spent time around the campfire. The children spent a lot of time in the stream and the older ones enjoyed the hot tub. The house is much more spacious than the pictures can show. This was great for napping children to be away from the noise in the main part of the house, or for grandparents who went to bed early. We also particularly appreciated how most bedrooms have a private bathroom! There are also multiple sitting areas to relax and visit. We took a walk down the road (barely any traffic) and had a pleasant chat with a friendly neighbor. We like the homey character of this lovely old house and hope to come back for our next gathering."
