Joan & Vanessa were extremely wonderful people and they made sure we had a good stay in Barcelona. They were very communicative and always responded quickly to our messages. The area around the apartment is safe and very, very close to Sagrada Familia. Fantastic location, lots of shops and close to everything. Metro is steps away as well.The apartment was very clean and the beds were comfy. We were a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 teens) and, while it was a tight fit, we didn’t spend much time at the apartment so it was good for our sleeping needs.Our only complaint is that, when we were getting ready for bed, flushing toilets, using the sinks or showering past 10pm, the neighbours would knock on the wall to be quiet. Hard to not use the bathroom when you are maximizing sightseeing during the day and coming home later at night after customary late dinners in Spain (and we were not playing music or talking loudly either).And one last comment (I did see this on another review), while this did not affect the overall quality of our stay, there are some extra costs not listed on the posting, which were a security deposit, a tourist tax, and a cleaning fee, that had to be paid in cash at arrival. If you are from the EU, probably not a huge deal to withdraw money, but being from Canada, it would have been nice to know those costs upon booking, so we could have brought the cash with us. Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay in Barcelona, thank you Joan & Vanessa.
