This was a nice motel raised up from the highway. Beds were comfortable. Outside of Baddeck by only a few minutes. It is clear some of the images were photo shopped, and the use of the word “luxury” is misleading. It was fine for a 2 night stay, but do not pay more believing you are getting a luxurious experience. The rooms are mildly dated, there were many tiny ants in the room, the remote control was missing a battery, and the reception was a bit on the grumpy side. Nothing majorly wrong, but not exceeding expectations either

I booked the room through expedia. When I arrived, there was no reservation. I had to be on the phone with expedia/vrbo to resolve the issue. The hotel advertises the water view. Not all the rooms have the water view. The hotel is not very close to the waterfront. Their advertising is deceiving. The photos of the rooms posted online do not reflect what you see when you arrive at the hotel.

The room itself did not present as shown in the advertisement on Expedia site/. It needed a lot of renovation and seem to be in the middle of renovations that were not complete. I would not recommend anyone stay here, especially in unit number seven.The onsite person was pleasant, but showed some remorse for the quality of the rooms presentation. He seemed to disappear after checking people in and was not available for any questions or concerns about the TV that didn’t work and the Wi-Fi that wasn’t available. We left and are still disputing reimbursement
