New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

Dixie Arrow is located ocean-side with direct boardwalk access to the beach on the quiet Oceanview Drive. The third floor has a large great room with ceiling fans and a brand-new (2024) kitchen with a breakfast bar. Sliding doors lead to a large, all-new (as of 2024) deck with an ocean view complete with deck furniture and a picnic table. The second floor features a bonus room for kids with a foosball table, a new stair tamer, a TV with front side A/V jack, a sofa bed, and a second fridge/freezer. A private deck exits the first floor to a private decked pool. The grill, fish cleaning station area, and showers are located in the under-house entry. Come relax and point your vacation to Dixie Arrow.

Avon Fishing Pier is located 400 yards North and Club Hatteras is 400 yards West on route 12.

Army retiree reunion

5 of my Army retired buddies and I rented this property for a reunion. It was plenty big enough for everyone. Only one flaw during the entire week. The dishwasher sucks so we washed the dishes the old fashion way, By hand.

Did the trick

We stayed here for a week in sept and for the most part enjoyed our stay. The house could really use a deep cleaning but nothing was so bad that it ruined our vacation. I know this year has been really rough in rentals in the OBX and they don’t have enough staff for cleaning plus a high amount of rentals keeps them doing the minimum right now. Some of the ceiling fans had dust all over them. There is a piece of molding missing going from the kitchen to the living room, also looks like water damage on the cabinets right next to it. Some walls could use a wipe down. Like I said nothing that ruined our stay at all! The location was perfect with beach access almost directly across from the house. Hot tub and pool were used and enjoyed as well! The only suggestion I would make is maybe offering some seats inside and outside that aren’t so low, some people in our group had a hard time with the chairs and sinking into the couch. We would rent here again!

Great Location, Disappointing Facility and Amenities

The property claimed to have had "a mess from the prior tenants" and forced us to wait in the driveway for 2 hours after our check-in time while they were finishing cleaning. However, once given entry into the property, it was clear the cleanliness level of house was not acceptable on any level with sticky messes still present on counter tops and tables, sand all over the floor, and standing water in the downstairs bathroom. We did not complain as we had been waiting for the place to be cleaned for hours already and were anxious to start the vacation. However, as everyone settled in, we realized that only some rooms were provided bath towels, forcing us to use our own spare beach towels for entirety of our stay. Amenities were lacking the entire vacation as we had to make a trip to the store to buy our own trash bags and some cleaning products. The location of the house was fantastic, but as the week went on, we saw the house beginning to fall apart. The TV sound went out in the middle of NBA playoffs, the microwave went out in the middle of cooking dinner, the grill proved too disgusting to even attempt a cookout, and most importantly and unbearable, the downstairs air conditioning unit went out on our second day. The comfort of coming home from a hot beach day to a nice cool room was no more. Instead, we were forced to suffer in the hot, stale humidity of an OBX summer. Several guests of the house were forced to sleep upstairs on the couch, just to get a couple moments of shut-eye at a tolerable temperature. Finally, the downstairs sink and toilet began leaking upon first use later in the week. The house felt as though it had not been maintained since the 90's as several railings, even on the third floor, were loose and dangerous. Overall, the house felt dirty and hazardous, I would recommend staying in the area but not this particular house.

Overall great time- I would book with them again!

We had a great time. Early on we had a maintenance request. They were very responsive and the staff was friendly and helpful. We talked a little and the person who showed up to fix our request gave helpful tips for places to visit. Our issue was cleared up very fast and the rest of the week was perfect.

Vacation week outer banks

We really enjoyed the area. The house was as advertised big and comfortable. My only complaint would be that we had to wait for 2 hours for the house to be cleaned. We arrived at 4 got in at 6 only to find one of the bedrooms was not clean. The rug had so much hair on it I rolled it up until I found the vacuum 2 days later. Some of the pool furniture was broken but usable.
