Friendly people but horrible accomodations

The place had the feel of a half-way home with permanent residents living there. It advertises laundry but it closes at 3:30p so unless you start a load right at first possible checkin, you don't have ready access. Loud noises from the side street could be heard throughout the night. Something bit me during the middle of the night. The bite area slightly swelled and itched badly for the next couple of days. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I was double billed and the staffs aid they couldn't do anything about it until the manager was there. 2 days later! I'm still waiting for it to be fixed! The room looked okay, but smelled. Hard floor, no carpet, needed to be mopped. The toilet tank pump was extremely noisy when it was running. I had to close the bathroom door at night it was so loud! Horrible experience!

The rooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable, nice pillows. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I just didn’t know how safe the area was. Obviously the hotel was built back in the 80’s. There was no elevator and truthfully no room to add one. If you need to spend one night in anchorage, this hotel would be a decent choice.

Staff was VERY VERY friendly. Location was perfectly convenient. Rooms were outdated and dirty. Neighboring guests were very loud the entire night. We didn’t have any running water in the last morning.

It is nice having an inexpensive option for a room with more than just a bed and microwave. Even though the facility is a little older, they keep up on maintenance.And it's quite cozy.
