I had a lovely stay in a 'pod' room at Generator Amsterdam during my trip. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the Pod was clean and fairly comfortable- no less comfy than a bunk, but with a bit more privacy. Cafe had food and drinks at reasonable prices. While I wasn't here long enough to check out the club or bar, the vibes were good all around and I felt safe and comfortable staying the night here. An interesting and positive experience! I would definitely consider coming back if I'm traveling solo in the area again.

Great place to stay. The area around is beautiful, in the middle of a big park. Lots of cafes and restaurants around. It’s a short ride on the tramway to central Amsterdam.
Actually, it was a good experience, yet I think the staff should inform more other customers about the rules when they want to sleep in the shared room.
It’s a good hostel, highly recommended. Only few things are it’s very dusty & stuffy in the room that I stayed. Unable to open the window to circulate air from outside. My dust allergy got very bad. Also, they don’t clean the bathroom as often.
Sadly, I found the toilets and bathrooms in the morning very very dirty.
It might be beneficial to have shampoo and soda holders in showers.
My beddings were soiled of urine and very dirty.
While the hotel itself was nice and our stay could have been enjoyable, our experience was completely ruined by the unprofessional behavior of the receptionist, specifically the Asian lady at the front desk. She treated us with unnecessary rudeness and disrespect throughout our stay. Without clear explanation, she charged us extra fees and still made unreasonable demands — including asking us to remove our belongings from the room, even after we had paid the extra amount she insisted on. Her attitude was unwelcoming and dismissive, making us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. We expected much better service from a place like this. Unfortunately, because of her poor conduct, I cannot recommend this hotel to others.
I enjoyed my stay there. Everyone was friendly from the staff to the people staying there. Everything was walkable very nice place to walk things to do inside and outside. There’s a theme every night so there was something to do if you run out of ideas. I wouldn’t mind staying there again.
This is a hostel located in a park, so nicely situated. Being a hostel it's very bare bones -- nothing fancy at all. Beds were moderately comfortable. Staff seems very helpful.
Beautiful location and only 40 minute walk from centre of Amsterdam. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Atmosphere throughout my stay was very pleasant. Only cost €8-10 for taxi to centre and €24 to airport. Highly recommended.
