This was our second stay at a Bob W. and it was a bit disappointing. Perfectly fine and a good value, but was missing the special touches (wall tapestry was missing from room, room was only made for 2 people instead of 4, and other details).

Nice room, clean, good kitchen and shower, but TV remote control missing and air conditioning didn't work. Difficult to find property and inadequate directions supplied. Check-in complicated. Located in a derelict industrial area and a long way from public transport.

We stay with our kids 15 and 13. Be aware that the pool on the rooftop is 18+ and with they charge a fee for a few hours. The pool is on the same building but it's not part of the hotel. A big surprise and disappointment!! The fridge didn't stop making loud noises. We asked a few times to please fix it or change us to another room but they didn't do anything about it. We liked the location, it let us explore the city and the countryside

Good location, near a bus stop which takes you directly to Centraal and Zaanse Schans. Room was clean, modern and well equipped. Only downside is there is an additional charge to use the pool.

Good value in North Amsterdam. Had issues with check in but was sorted out easily with staff onsite ( in another area of the set of apartment/building complexes). Apartment had a comfortable king sofa bed that was made for or arrival. Upstairs had a comfortable queen bed; stairs are steep so may be difficult with mobility issues Had washer in our unit that was well used. Free use of the local gym. Extra towels available in the communal laundry area ( in a separate building). Air conditioning on main and second level. There is a free ferry from centraal station; the closet one is to NDSM and is a 15 minute walk to the building; not much to see on this walk since it’s very industrial. A grocery store is near the ferry dock. Minor negatives were 1) the only bathroom/ shower is on the second floor 2) you are in an industrial that doesn’t have as many restaurants as central Amsterdam ( there is one in the building that looked well visited but we didn’t try) 3) was not easy getting an Uber/Bolt in the area. Overall, because the unit was well kept, comfortable, spacious enough for 4 people, and fairly convenient when visiting central Amsterdam, I would definitely stay here again when visiting Amsterdam.

I did not like the fact that there was no daily cleaning and you had to get supplies for yourself from the communal room. Also, our room was not ready by 3pm and they made is wait for 1 hour. They also charged me 70 Euros for a microwave plate that could easily cost 15 Euros. That is like the cost of a new microwave? The location is also not convenient. You have to walk 10 minutes to get the ferry to Central.

Absolutely amazing stay. Honestly couldn't have asked for more. Things were provided that we never even thought to want! Great recommendations for the local area as well.
