The hotel was obviously remodeled not too long ago, it was remodeled very well, we were impressed. Breakfast had enough options that my husband and I found something to eat that was delicious. The outside common area was used by other hotel guests both nights we stayed, where they sat, listening to music and grilled food, which was comforting because if the area was not safe, I’m sure they wouldn’t have been out there enjoying the evening.
The only reason why I didn’t give all 5 stars was because when booking the room, I asked for a ground level room because I have moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis and my husband has joint pain issues as well, when I checked in I asked if the room was on the second floor and the lady said “yeah, buts it’s only one flight of stairs” we stayed two nights and had a bunch of plans in town, so we came and left many times and each time up or down he stairs was very painful.
But other then that it was a nice, clean hotel in an area I didn’t feel unsafe at all. I would recommend staying there but if you have issues going up and down stairs I would call the hotel prior to staying just to be sure there’s no confusion in your requirements.
