Property was overall decent, Quality definitely goes with the price... Room should have been cleaner a few things, towels and bedding had pieces of hair and fuzzys and there was hair in the shower. Mirrors didn’t look like they were cleaned correctly either. Breakfast closed earlier then we were told and weren’t even allowed a cup of coffee…

The stairwells and walkways could use some power washing or at least a sweep daily. There was a lot of loose debris and dust on them. The room was nice clean quiet and bed was comfy during my 2 night stay. Breakfast options were very lacking no eggs, meat options or waffles. Staff was friendly.

Pretty nice place to stay

The hotel was obviously remodeled not too long ago, it was remodeled very well, we were impressed. Breakfast had enough options that my husband and I found something to eat that was delicious. The outside common area was used by other hotel guests both nights we stayed, where they sat, listening to music and grilled food, which was comforting because if the area was not safe, I’m sure they wouldn’t have been out there enjoying the evening. The only reason why I didn’t give all 5 stars was because when booking the room, I asked for a ground level room because I have moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis and my husband has joint pain issues as well, when I checked in I asked if the room was on the second floor and the lady said “yeah, buts it’s only one flight of stairs” we stayed two nights and had a bunch of plans in town, so we came and left many times and each time up or down he stairs was very painful. But other then that it was a nice, clean hotel in an area I didn’t feel unsafe at all. I would recommend staying there but if you have issues going up and down stairs I would call the hotel prior to staying just to be sure there’s no confusion in your requirements.

I had to do a trip for work and the reviews for Atrea Inn were good and the price was right. I haven't been to Amarillo since I was a child, so I wasn't too sure about the area when I got there around 10pm. I was a little apprehensive because I had a brand new 2025 van full of expensive artwork but everything was fine. It seems like there were a lot of other people traveling for work. The room was clean but I did see some reviews about dirty floors - I think this is because the floors are laminate and cleaning those is a bit weird because you're not supposed to use water on them (if I have to clean those types of floors, I have a mop bucket with hot water and wring it out as much as possible so it is just damp, then use a little of the spray cleaner). In any case, I always travel with slides to wear in the hotel so this wasn't really a concern for me. The person at reception was super cheerful and welcoming. My only complaint was wedging the large Ram van into a parking space on the back side of the building (there was only one space open but it was close to my room) but I probably could've asked for a different room if it was that much of a problem.

Creative, clean, neat and inexpensive.

This is an aging but attractive and creative hotel a bit off the beaten path. The room was clean and neat and typical of less costly hotels in that it lacked a few amenities one usually expects. It's not hard to get around Amarillo, so being a bit out of the way was fine. We enjoyed the Asian restaurant next door and were glad not to have to drive to find a place to eat.

Would rather sleep in the car

Checked into room 151 after a long drive in the middle of the night. The room was disgusting. Had a cute "non smoking" sign on the door but the smell of new and old cigarettes had sealed itself in every ounce of the room. Room was infested with house flies. On check in, I was told it was their last room so I didn't bother going back to the counter and spent the night sleeping in my car. Do not risk it, pick another hotel/motel.

Property photographs very well until you see in person. One of the rooms I stayed in shows signs of a rush job on the renovations. Bathtub refinishing was poorly done and even baseboards were peeling off. More than likely will not stay there again.
