"This was a great hotel. The remodeled a school & the name reflects that. The decorating theme follows the concept of the building being a school. Photos of items in schools, painted chalkboard on bathroom door, etc. walk-in shower was great, room size was very adequate, supplies in room were eye make up remover, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, bottles of water as well as coffee. I was definitely impressed. Only thing I don’t like is they put a hold on your card for incidentals & the amount was for $100. No where was this mentioned on Expedia where I found the hotel."

"My room smelled like cigarettes. The room was ok but the floor wasn’t cleaned well. The staff was very friendly and polite. "

"The breakfast was okay, not many choices, and no biscuits and gravy. The room was clean, but the hallway was dark and dirty and had an odd smell. The doors could use repainting and better lighting. The room was clean, but I did not get the room pictured when I originally reserved. Also, it shows that they have a hot tub on amenities, and people commented in reviews that it was nice. That was my main reason for booking, but there was no hot tub, only a kiddy pool, and the pool itself was freezing; I couldn't even get in. We tried to cancel after the first night because it wasn't as advertised, and we were told we wouldn't be refunded."
