Shaking up the Chicago scene
Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, Jarad Higgins got into music as a child, starting with piano and then moving on to guitar and drums. Despite his mother's disapproval of hip hop, he started rapping in high school. High school was a tumultuous time. On one hand, he was heavily involved in drugs, which created debilitating health issues. On the other hand, he started uploading his music online. His first EP, 9 9 9, came out in 2017, followed later in the year by Nothings Different. That EP featured the breakout singles "All Girls Are the Same" and "Lucid Dreams" and led to him signing with a label. In 2018 Juice WRLD released Goodbye & Good Riddance, his first album. The next day his first tour, WRLD Domination, was publicized, with YBN Cordae and Lil Mosey joining the concerts.
