Hamilton follows the story of Alexander Hamilton who was a Founding Father. He came to the United States in 1776 from the West Indies. When establishing himself, he worked closely with George Washington during the Revolutionary War. He was also the nation’s first Treasury Secretary. While in New York, he falls in love with Elizabeth Schuyler. Despite coming from significantly different backgrounds, they do their best to live as ordinarily as they can. But Alexander’s life is filled with drama, which Lin-Manuel Miranda knew would be for a great story. Through modern song and dance, Lin manages to captivate audience members through the nation’s history.
