Alexander Hamilton was an immigrant from the West Indies. After coming to the United States, he became a Founding Father as well as the nation’s first Treasury Secretary. With a character as colorful as he, and one who had such impact in making America what it is today, it is no wonder Lin-Manuel Miranda was inspired to write this musical. Through modern song and dance, his story has been shared with the world. Genres such as hip hop, rap, blues, R&B, and pop were included with the infusion of culture.
