The English rock band Def Leppard is bringing their talent to the stage of Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. Their 2019 residency is entitled Def Leppard Hits Vegas: The Sin City Residency, and it is set to run from August to September. Pioneering rock residencies around the world, Def Leppard will be performing some of their greatest hits including “Pour Some Sugar on Me”, “Rock of Ages”, “Photograph”, and “Armageddon it”. About Def Leppard

Def Leppard was formed in Sheffield in 1977 with original members Rick Savage, Tony Kenning, and Pete Willis. The band played their first ever gig in the dining hall of their secondary school, and not long after they released their first three song release called The Def Leppard E.P., which soared to the top of sales charts after heavy exposure from a BBC Radio. In 1979 the bands popularity began to skyrocket, and they became known as the leaders of the British heavy metal movement. After signing on with a professional manager they released their debut album On Through the Night which put them on the international map. Although wildly popular in the United Kingdom, Def Leppard did not become a household name around the world until they released the single “Photograph”. With MTV in its infancy during the climax of their career, Def Leppard was able to use the channel to spread their music across a broader demographic. Today the band is one of the best-selling music artists in the world, and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019. Currently the touring members of the band include Joe Elliott, Rick Savage, Rick Allen, Phil Collen, and Vivian Campbell.
