Locate northwest of the downtown area Toronto/Lester B. Pearson International (YYZ) Airport is easily accessible using the Brampton Transit, the MI Way or Go Transit. Flight times are usually 15 hours to Delhi Gandhi International (DEL) Airport. Take the Airport Metro Express from Terminal 3 to get into the downtown area. Buses, taxis and shuttles using the Delhi Gurgaon Expressway can also get you into town.
The Lotus Temple is a recognizable landmark in the area with unique architecture and style. Be prepared to take your shoes off if you want to go inside. Other temples worth visiting include the Kalkaji Mandir Hindu Temple and the ISKCON Hare Krishna Temple. To get deeper in to the history of the area, make plans to visit the Hauz KHas Complex. Here you can wander around the various ruins and check out the water tank that helped the location thrive. Take a break at the Lodi Gardens, a public park that allows you to walk around, enjoy a picnic, or explore ancient tombs.
