San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is located on the San Francisco Bay right off the 101 Freeway south of the city’s center. Public transportation, including bus and rail service, is accessible to the airport for departing passengers. Highway 101 connects to downtown San Francisco and other major highways.
From SFO to Phnom Penh International Airport (PNH) typical flight times are 22 to 24 hours depending on stops and fares. Once at PNH, passengers can find airport taxi and three-wheel vehicle hire to take them to their destination. PNH is located just west of the city center.
Cambodia offers much history, as seen in the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh. Other things to see include the Independence Monument, Silver Pagoda, Wat Ounalom and Wat Phnom. To check out local food, Urban Forage is a must.
The National Museum of Cambodia explains the country’s history, while Kingdom Breweries gives tourists a taste of local brews. For a real look at Cambodia’s diverse history, visitors can choose to go to the Killing Fields in Choeung Ek.
There are fun and entertaining things to do in Phnom Penh and Cambodia, but be aware that the country has a somber history and many tourist attractions are centered around that.
