Attractions and Tips
German Village celebrates the heritage of German immigrants from the early 19th century. Take some time to stop by Schmidts Restaurant and Sausage Haus for authentic German food. Once you are full, plan to walk off some of those calories at the Franklin Park Conservatory. Here you can see a variety of exhibits, many that change throughout the year. Sports fans will be drawn to Huntington Park, especially around baseball season when the Columbus Clippers take the field. While you are in the Arena District, don't forget to get some shopping done or enjoy some ice-skating, regardless of the season.
In the winter, expect to see some chilly temperatures, often hanging around the 30s. January tends to be the coldest month of the year. On the other hand, the summertime comes in hot and humid with temperatures in the 80s. Because of its location, there is no real dry season all year.
