After taking a bus, taxi or train to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), travelers can expect to be in the air for nine and a half hours before arriving in Naples. Visitors will then have the chance to stretch their legs by walking along the Spaccanapoli Roman road. The main street is located in the heart of this ancient city. Tour the Church of Sant'Angelo a Nilo and see the intricately carved tomb created by Donatello. The square also features a large marble statue, and a collection of stores that include mouth-watering pastry shops.
From the airport, you can reach the area's major attractions by driving along the southwest-bound A56 highway. Turn onto the Via Foria into Naples, and step back in time at the National Archaeological Museum. The venue houses a collection of Greek and Roman artifacts that include everything from gems and glass, to pottery and items made using precious metals.
Once you've arrived via the Naples International Airport (NAP), you can explore the area's cultural roots. Historic locations include the 1279 Castel Nuovo which houses the Museo Civico and a variety of artworks from other castles and churches. The 15th-century Castel dell'Ovo was established along the waterfront, and its moat is one of the castle's most striking features. The former fortress now offers tours, and serves as the location for concerts and exhibitions all year long.
