Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is located halfway between Forth Worth and Dallas. Its International Parkway is accessible via Interstate 635 or State Highway 114 on the north and State Highway 183 on the south.
When you fly from DFW to Cozumel International Airport (CZM), the flight duration is around three hours nonstop. You can get to Cozumel using Av 8 de Octobre Nte, Av Lic. Benito Juarez and the Carr Transversal. Available transportation includes car rentals, shared minivans and bus service at Terminal 2.
Cozumel is known for its water and marine life. You can dive at Palancar Reef, Santa Rosa Wall or the Columbia Reef or swim at Paradise Beach. For some time on dry land, try Faro Celerain Eco Park or a day excursion to Isla de Pasion, which is just under 25 miles away.
Playa del Carmen is about an hour away by ferry, and once there, you can explore Xcaret Eco Theme Park or the Coba Mayan Village ruins.
The weather in Cozumel is usually warm, with lows around 70 degrees. August tends to be hotter, with even low temperatures hovering around 80 degrees. Pack for some rain if you're visiting from September to November. Popular spots for travelers to stay in include central and southwestern Cozumel.
