Cheap flights from Chicago to Dublin
Whether you're flying from Chicago to Dublin to visit the traditional Irish pubs, tour historic landmarks, visit friends or do business, expect the flight time between the two cities to be just under eight hours. The journey starts, however, with taking the CTA Blue Line or your own personal vehicle to the O'Hare International Airport (ORD). After landing in Dublin, you'll be all set to explore the Irish culture and all its heritage.
Attractions
The River Liffey divides Dublin in two, and its banks serve as the center of the city. If you are hoping to do a lot of shopping while in the Irish capital, staying on the north side of the river puts you within walking distance of the shops on O'Connell Street and Talbot Street. If it is cultural and historical attractions you're after, stay on the south side of the river, in order to be close to Trinity College, St. Paul's Cathedral, Dublin Castle and Kilmainham Gaol.
Hints and Tips
The Dublin Airport (DUB) is only five miles north of the city, and common ways to go from the terminals to travel accommodation include Aircoach, which services many major hotels directly, the Dublin Bus AirLink service, taxis and private cars. Keep in mind that for most public transport in Dublin, coins are required for payment.
