As soon as you touch down at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX), you can pick up a rental car, start exploring, and travel to the first stop. Visit the Arizona Center to shop, or the Patriots Square Park, to lay back in the shade, and watch some performing arts on a lazy afternoon.
If you're a major sports fan and you want to visit the hub of sporting events in Phoenix, travel just 5 miles east down E. Sky Harbor Blvd. to the U.S. Airways Center, to see where the Phoenix Suns, the Coyotes, and the Rattlers compete.
Once you've enjoyed the arena, go 10 miles down I-10 to the 8,000-square-foot Mystery Castle; this destination is perfect for the kids, made of sand, they can escape into a fairy tale world.
It will take approximately four hours and 30 minutes to fly nonstop from Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI) to Phoenix.
