About Miranda Lambert
The Sass and Sparkle of a Cowgirl
Miranda Lambert is one of the most dynamic women on today's country music scene, she has the sass and heart to go with her cowgirl boots. Miranda Lambert's sweet country vocals bring heart and soul to the topics of her ballads, which focus on love, the meaning of home, and heartbroken revenge. Born on November 10, 1983, Miranda Lambert grew up in the state of Texas. Before she was born her father was a member in a country-rock group, something which heavily influenced her love for music. While she was still a teenager in high school, Lambert began recording music and performing in local venues around Texas. After winning a talent show, she landed herself a recording session in Nashville. While exciting for her at the time, the label tried pushing her to become a pop star, something which she did not want to be. After walking out of the session, Miranda moved back to Texas where her father taught her to play the guitar and she began writing her own songs. In 2003 she finished in third place on the singing competition show Nashville Star. Although she did not win first place, Miranda attracted the attention of a Sony Music Executive who signed her to a record label. Miranda Lambert's first album, Kerosene, was released in 2005, followed by a second album titled Crazy Ex-Girlfriend in 2007. Following her success from her albums, Lambert toured with country music legends including Keith Urban, George Strait, Dierks Bentley, and Toby Keith.
A Texas girl by birth, Miranda Lambert embodies the sass and sparkle of Annie Oakley more than the country woman waiting for her cowboy to come home, and it comes through on her songs like "Something Bad," "White Liar," and "Gunpowder and Lead." In 2011 Lambert embarked on a new project, a girl group called the Pistol Annies. Consisting of Lambert, Ashley Monroe, and Angaleena Presley, the trio has topped the charts with every album release. Miranda Lambert married fellow country star Blake Shelton in 2011, though the couple split in 2015 amid public disappointment.
Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Tour
In 2019 it was announced that Lambert would be embarking on a tour throughout the United States with fellow female country artists. The all-female lineup included Maren Morris, Elle King, the Pistol Annies, Tenille Townes, Ashley McBryde and Caylee Hammack. It kicked off in September of 2019 in Uncasville at the Mohegan Sun Arena and wrapped up in November at the Greensboro Coliseum in North Carolina. Other cities that saw stops of the tour included Baltimore, New Orleans, Sioux Falls, Milwaukee, and Orlando.
Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town 2022 Tour
In Spring 2022, Miranda Lambert co-headlined a tour with fellow country stars Little Big Town. The two acts spent part of May and June performing their best country tunes around North America, calling it the Bandwagon Tour . The tour started in Houston and traveled to Dallas, Tampa, Toronto and more top cities. Little Big Town and Miranda Lambert ended their tour in Camden, right before some of the summer festivals began.
