Brand new hotel, 5 stars, excellent location but very. very big (720 rooms). Even with excellent staff, this renders the hotel more than a little
bit impersonal. Our Jr. suite was well appointed but lacked some basics (wine key, extra blankets, unfilled shampoo and other toiletries). All were eventually solved by the front desk, but at this level of hotel these aren’t just oversights. We did the half board, and while food was plentiful it was largely uninspired cuisine (pizzas, salad, basic meats carved or grilled à la carte). The onsite Japanese specialty restaurant KOI is excellent. Overall a good stay (with bad weather, not their fault) but had hoped for a more upscale experience. The surrounding area restaurant and shops are excellent. Overall good, but not great.
