They were under heavy construction. And the stay was miserable. We are in our 70s and they shut down the elevator for about 12 hours to install tile flooring. They had tools, equipment and materials strewn all over the common area. While they did make an effort to keep the tables clean there was drywall dust everywhere. The restroom next to the lobby was not being maintained wirh toilet tissue all over the floor and the restroom generally very dirty. We signed in as 4 guests but the room only provided towels for three. When we called the front desk asking for an additional set of towels they said we had to come get them. Staff was courteus and understanding. They also said that the renovation was posted at the bottom of their website. Using my phone I missed that notice. I have not gone back to verify it is there. I personally think a posting more prominent would be. More appropriate. I get the financial side of not closing to do the renovation work. Unfortunately I am not inclined to ever return

The hotel is renovating which is fine. But corporate should force the franchisee to shutdown and not accept guests during renovation. There are no notices when we book the room.There are dust everywhere including the food area. My familly actually got sick. Toilettes didn't flush. The advertised pool and hot tub was drained. It is was a mess.

This place is undergoing serious renovations and should simply be closed for guests. The lobby was an utter disaster, the gym was closed, and the dining area was squished into a corner. When we arrived, I noticed a container of cucumber water that looked old at best. The same container was sitting there for guests with the same water upon our departure the following morning. Our room was dirty as the bathroom counter and floor was covered with hair! We were so tired after driving all day, so we simply slept there, and left ASAP in the morning. This hotel was the most expensive of the budget chains in the area.

HIE needs to let Expedia when they are remodeling. I would have not choose this one. The road noise was awfully loud not to mention the gas operated concrete saw that started up right after day light. This our 2nd stay there this time14 days last year 19 but no more . Parking lot enterence had a very high enterence the bottom of our car got really scrapped up. The front enterence had bricks broken. Lots of contruction inside as you walk into lobby, smell of paint, elevator carpet was really worn out, turning on shower was hard to figure out, no hair dryer had to go down to lobby to ask for one. Beds were confertable, closet did not have anywhere to hang clothes up. on chair to sit on if more than one person in room. ac worked really good, did not understand why room had wall ac controller if we had to control ac on the window ac unit. confusing...Our floor had a sports team that was supper loud even after 11pm.Lots of hot water but no water pressure. Handicap room should NEVER have a tub to step into. Customer service was nice. Place should be closed until all contruction is completed.

It was a convenient location for us and very accessible. Unfortunately the entire first floor smelled like dope and the room we got smelled really bad like dirty carpet. We did not report so we didn’t give them a chance to fix it. Really enjoyed them having some health food options.
